General Description

"Test System Model" is a collection of rules and instructions that governs the execution of the component models within a simulation model and the communication between them. A model of computation is an abstract concept, which is then implemented by a simulation tool. Examples are continuous time-driven simulations (e.g., implemented by Dymola and MATLAB/Simulink) or discrete event-based simulations (e.g., AnyLogic or MATLAB/SimEvents).
